The U.S Naval Medical Research Unit No. 6 (NAMRU-6) in Lima, Peru is seeking sources of reagents for research studies for the Department of Entomology. Reagents will allow detection and screening of virus and parasite pathogens of arthropod vectors (mosquitoes, sand flies, triatomines/reduviids and ticks). The main objective is to determine the prevalence and distribution of mosquito- and tick-vectors and their pathogens impacting US and host nation military populations. This will provide real time and future vector hazard and disease risk assessments to US and foreign military and health institutions.
