The State University Construction Fund is seeking statements of qualifications from consultants to provide design, and construction administration services for the project: “Reconstruct Underground Electric & Data Distribution Systems, North Campus” at the SUNY Geneseo campus. The project includes complete replacement of the north campus electric/data cables, conduit and duct-bank systems. The project also includes replacement of primary switch gear, transformers, and secondary electrical panels at up to 17 buildings. These buildings represent academic, athletic, dining and residence halls. The designed system must meet all requirements of the SUNY Construction Fund Directives, the NYS Building Code, the NEC and all other relevant codes. Submissions should emphasize the design teams experience working with older academic buildings and campus site work, complexities of engineering and construction in a campus setting with extensive pedestrian traffic, and campus concerns of student and staff safety.
