RECOVERY: COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR THE HRB SKUNK CREEK PONDEROSA PINE RESTORATION The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State Office, is soliciting for offers for the Recovery-HRB Skunk Creek Ponderosa Pine Restoration. The receipt of the award is contingent on the recipients meeting the requirements in Section 1512 of the Recovery Act. Description of Work: The purpose of this project is to restore fire dominated forests that have been negatively impacted by fire suppression over the last 100 years. The project will involve chainsaw brushing of vegetation along the road sides, thinning, merchantable material decking, pruning, slashing, and establishing a fire line are. Location: The project area is located approximately 15 miles north of Lake City east of Highway 149. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 115310, with a standard size of $7 million. The release date for the Request for Quote is April 19, 2010.
