This opportunity is available only to Pinnacle Business Solutions, Inc, the current holder of the CMS Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) Maintainer contract. This contract was competitively awarded in 2006 to Pinnacle. CMS intends to modify the FISS contract to include a system change for the implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program for Medicare Hospitals under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). ARRA provides incentive payments for Acute Care Hospitals and Critical Access Hospitals who are meaningful users of certified EHR technology. Previous contract modifications established capabilities for which EHR payment information can be sent to EHR payment contractors and the National Level Repository (NLR). The subject modification will update the HER provider screens so that all necessary information to produce an EHR incentive payment can be exchanged with the NLR.
