RECOVERY - Repair Bridge and Approach Rails, Quivira NWR, KS THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS A FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. This project includes providing all materials, equipment, and labor required to perform safety modifications at four bridge sites. The work includes installation of bridge rail, guardrail, guardrail end anchorages, and minor removals and repairs adjacent to and on the existing structures. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE Prospective bidders are encouraged to visit the work area in order to examine the existing site conditions by making arrangements with the Project Leader. Site Visit information will be listed in the solicitation. Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve him from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is under $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. The total performance is 60 days from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is being procured under the Small Business Competitve Demonstration Program as a Full and Open procurement. The NAICS code is 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, and the size standard is $33.5 Million. This Acquisiton will be subject to the Availability of Funds. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about March 24, 2009 with an anticipated closing date 30 days after that.
