NASA/JSC has a requirement for twenty four (24) RED MINI-MAG® 960GB Solid State Drive (SSD) Cards for use with the RED Digital Cinema Epic-M 4K Camera in support of the "Moonshine" Payload which was approved for International Space Station (ISS) Increment 55 Mission. In order to support and meet the mission objectives, the RED MINI-MAG® 960GB SSD cards are required and will need to be manifested and launched as late cargo on the SpaceX-12 launch vehicle.

NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from RED Digital Cinema. RED Digital Cinema uniquely designed and manufactured for use with the RED Digital Cinema Epic-series Camera including the RED 960GB Mini Mag SSD cards.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on August 4, 2017. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
