CITY OF MIDLOTHIAN ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS The City of Midlothian is seeking qualified parties interested in redeveloping the property at 301 W Main St and 211 W Main St, Midlothian, TX into a collection of restaurants, entertainment, activity centers, etc. to attract more visitors and residents to the area. Based on the 2020 Downtown Master Plan the city envisions an area to help accelerate its ongoing downtown revitalization. The city may also entertain retail shops, restaurants, entertainment, and other destination activities that will draw even more individuals to visit this area. Built in the mid 1900’s, the buildings have plenty of square footage with large windows, bay doors, and covered porches ideally suited for a casual, or family dining restaurant concept/destination. The City envisions a destination restaurant to anchor and help accelerate its ongoing downtown revitalization. Pre-proposal meeting - There will be a pre-proposal meeting held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the 301 W. Main St location. This will allow questions and answers, if any, before RFP submission and will be at the project site for review. Deadline for questions will be Thursday, May 20, 2021 and responses to questions will be released by Monday, May 24, 2021. All questions and answers will be posted. Note: Any changes of this RFP will be by ADDENDA and will be posted to the City website. Avenue E, Midlothian, Texas, 76065 until Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM, and publicly opened and read at that time. Further information and specifications may be obtained from the City website at www.midlothian.tx.us . The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. The city also reserves the right to purchase these items through state awarded contracts or other intergovernmental agreements when it is in the best interest of the city.
