This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Rees Scientific Corporation, 1007 Whitehead Road Ext, Ewing, NJ 08636-2428, to procure a Rees Centron Environmental Monitoring Service.
The purpose of the procurement is for the vendor to provide temperature monitoring equipment that allows instrumentation to be moved around the space to allow ease of reconfiguration of labs for implementation of new equipment to support the Vaccine Research Center (VRC). Approximately half of the Vaccine Immunology Program (VIP) is currently setup with this wireless monitoring, this would complete the rest of area. This allows VIP to conform to similar standards to Vaccine Piot Plant (VPP).

Rees Scientific is the only vendor to provide the required Centron Environmental Monitoring Service. The monitoring system uses a proprietary software, which is used through the NIAID network and hold the special IT clearances required to be integrated with our network security.
Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm-fixed price type of contract.
Period of Performance(s) are as follows:
Service shall be performed at the following location: NIH/NIAID/VRC/VPP/NIC/TAC, 9 West Watkins Mill Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.
The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS.
