The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Research Service (ARS), National Animal Disease Center (NADC), Ames IA has a requirement for 40-50 reindeer / caribou.
The purpose of this Sources Sought is to inquire if there are vendors available that possess the capability to meet our needs.
The following is a description of reindeer / caribou with the must have requirements: Animals must be 3-6 months of age, sound of feet, legs, and eyes, male or female, and originate from a common herd. For acclimation purposes, animals must complete a couple of weeks post-weaning prior to transport and possess a health certificate.

Please also provide information as to whether or not your company is a small or large business in accordance with the NAICS code listed in this Sources Sought.
