The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Research Service (ARS), National Animal Disease Center (NADC), Ames IA has a requirement for 40-50 reindeer / caribou.

The purpose of this Sources Sought is to inquire if there are vendors available that possess the capability to meet our needs.

The following is a description of reindeer / caribou with the must have requirements:  Animals must be 3-6 months of age, sound of feet, legs, and eyes, male or female, and originate from a common herd.  For acclimation purposes, animals must complete a couple of weeks post-weaning prior to transport and possess a health certificate.

In response to this Sources Sought, please submit information based on your capability to meet our needs.  Please also provide information as to whether or not your company is a small or large business in accordance with the NAICS code listed in this Sources Sought.  The Government acknowledges that responses to this Sources Sought are not binding offers.  The information obtained will assist in our market research and further solicitation processes.  The purpose of this Sources Sought is solely to obtain information and sources for our future requirement.
