The Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Rockwell Automation, located at 2100 Corporate Drive, Suite 550, Wexford, PA 15090, in support of the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) for renewal of current licenses for Arena Software. The products in this procurement are essential to the Government's requirements. Arena software is essential to the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) and is the only software that can meet ATEC's needs without causing additional cost or delays. Award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. This acquisition is being pursued on a limited source justification under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold(SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, Brand-name, or industrial mobilization This synopsis is not a request for proposals.
