DESC: Notice of Contract Action. The AFTC Contracting Directorate (AFTC/PZIOA), Edwards AFB intends to issue a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to MathWorks, Inc. The applicable NAICS Code is 511210.
The following is a brief description of the acquisition requirements. The government requires Reinstatement for 60 ea., MATLAB Software Licenses plus Software Maintenance/Renewals for the same 60 software licenses. The requested software renewals vary in the length for the renewal period. A list of the required license reinstatements and renewals is provided as an attachment. The attached list provides details of all the requirements for this acquisition, including the applicable renewal periods. Please note: the requested software reinstatements and renewals apply to the Academic Group version of the software only and will be used by the USAF Test Pilot School. The academic version of the MathWorks software is only available to accredited educational institutions and the manufacturer (MathWorks) is the sole source for this version.
There are no solicitation documents; however, contractors that feel they can meet this requirement should submit a complete technical package, providing clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the requirement. In addition, the response should include verification of the Offeror's Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items in accordance to FAR 52.212-3. If the offeror does not have a copy of this provision, go to http://www.sam.gov/ to load required information. Any responses received without completing this registration will be considered noncompliant. Further, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Responses must be received no later than September 28, 2012, 1:00 PM PST. Responses shall be submitted electronically at
[email protected] , unless otherwise agreed upon submission terms. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the response date stated above. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
