The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District is soliciting quotes to repair the Caterpillar 3516 Diesel Engine, Serial Number: CAN00113. The 3516 engine is the prime mover for the 852 Booster assigned to the District Dredge fleet. Contractor will also have to replace all exhaust manifold bolts. In order to replace the exhaust manifold bolts the engine will have to be partially disassembled requiring the replacement of numerous additional fasteners and gaskets. All work shall be in accordance with the enclosed Scope of Work (SOW). The Contractor must be from a certified Caterpillar repair facility. Genuine Caterpillar parts must be used in the repair. All repairs will take place on a barge at the Fountain City Service Base in Fountain City, WI. The procurement will also include any parts needed for the repair of the 3516 diesel engine. Solicitation number W912ES-13-T-0074 is issued as 100% "unrestricted" in accordance with FAR Part 19. Line Item 0001 is for the all parts/labor and repairs to the Caterpillar 3516 Diesel Engine. The Contractor must quote and supply all parts and labor needed to complete the requirements in the Scope of Work (SOW). The resultant contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The associated NAICS Code is 811310 with a size standard of $7,000,000.00. Offeror must be registered in the new System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.acquisition.gov prior to award. This new website replaces the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). A determination of the Government not to award based on the responses of this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government.
