The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to exercise Option 1 of a Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee (CPFF) delivery order under NAVAIR BOA N00019-15-G-0001, awarded to Alliant Techsystems Operations, LLC, Northridge, CA for the repair of GFE AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning Set (MWS) Sensors. The repair of these failed program owned AAR-47 GFE IOSC's is essential to maintaining on-going production/manufacturing efforts. NAVAIR intends to award this action on a sole-source basis to Alliant Techsystems Operations, LLC, Northridge, CA. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: Alliant Techsystems Operations, LLC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AAR-47 Missile Warning System (MWS), and is the only qualified source that possesses the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform this requirement in a timely and cost effective manner.
