This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and Subpart 13.106 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency hereby gives notice of its intent to competitively award a firm, fixed price Purchase Order to obtain a replacement High Purity Germanium (HPGE) detector. The award decision for this requirement will be based on lowest priced, technical accpetability.

Any firm believing itself to be capable of meeting EPA's requirement, as stated within the Synopsis Solicitation and the Statement of Work, may submit a quote, which, if received by the response date of this announcement shall be considered.

Prospective sources are reminded that an award can only be made to a Contractor who is registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in accordance with FAR 4.11.
