The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to procure on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) basis replacements for three (3) High Power 500 watts CW amplifiers 1GHz to 18GHz (Communications & Power Industries (CPI) Model Numbers: VZL2780C2, VZS2780C2, and VZM2780C2). Competition for this procurement will be limited to authorized vendors of CPI amplifiers, model numbers VZL2780C2, VZS2780C2, and VZM2780C2, pursuant to FAR 11.105(a)(1). The amplifiers to be procured via this contract are a direct replacement for those already in use on the THOR System. These items require a direct fit into the existing equipment racks and specialized power distribution panels already installed. In order to work within the system, the replacement units must have: an automatic radio frequency fault protection reset; a local panel with built in interface and serial bus or Ethernet for operation from computer station; Output Power at TWT Flange 500 Watt min.; 100% Duty Cycle output; and, fit within the exact dimensions of the current units (RF drawer 19 x 17.5 x 28in and Power supply 19 x 8.75 x 24in).
