The project will dismantle the existing, non-functioning IXTP 7991 arsenic removal system, and replace it with a single pass adsorption media treatment system. The new treatment system is comprised of the following: a pre-filtration system, steel pressure adsorber vessels, chemical feed and injections systems, process piping, above ground tanks, and a backwash recycle system. In addition, the onsite well will be equipped with a new pumping plant, emergency electrical generator, new electrical building, and other site improvements. The new arsenic removal facility will be capable of treating approximately 1,500 gallons per minute (gpm).
