The work of this single-bid project includes work on Sheldon Hall which was constructed in 1912 and underwent an exterior renovation between 2010 and 2013 where 90% of the existing terracotta was replaced. In 2015, the replaced terracotta began to exhibit issues with spalling of surface finish, exposing substrate to weather and allowing for deterioration. The scope of work will include the removal and replacement of deteriorated terracotta, brick removal and replacement, removal and reinstallation of the lightening protection system to include the replacement of the air terminals, and limited mechanical work in the attic to introduce ventilation air. Asbestos abatement will be required for a small quantity of area. Plans will be available after August 19, 2020.
