This is a request for bids for the demolition of a commercial building located at 5701 Merriam Drive, Merriam Kansas. The City of Merriam is the property owner. See related document for all requirements. Sealed bids must be submitted to the Merriam City Clerk’s office located at the Merriam City Hall by 2 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2020. Bid submittals must include the following items: A. Executed “Bidder’s Affidavit”. B. List of equipment owned by the contractor that will be utilized for this project. C. Bids can be lump sum. D. Insurance certificate that meets the insurance requirements stated in the Professional Service Agreement, Section 8. E. Bids can be in letter form. There is no required bid form. Failure to include one of the above required documents may cause the bid to be rejected. Project Timeline June 15, 2020 Request for bids are sent out to contractors June 22, 2020 and/or June 24, 2020 On-site walk through and inspection of the property. The city will also conduct a question and answer session at that time. All interested parties should be at the project site by 2:00PM. These will be the ONLY on-site visit and question and answer session conducted by the City. July 6, 2020 2:00PM deadline for bid proposals July 7, 2020 09:00AM bid opening at Merriam City Hall in the Council Chambers July 27, 2020 City Council schedule to consider awarding the project Project Completion 120 days from bid award.
