The Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is conducting a market survey by issuing this Request for Information (RFI) notice for qualified firms capable of providing a Shipboard Thermal Destruction System (Incinerator) designed for Naval Ship use.  The Incinerator will be used for testing and evaluation at our West Bethesda, Maryland Facility.  Applicable NAICS Code 333994 applies with a business size standard of 500 employees and must be registered in the Systems for Award Management System (SAM).

Responses to this notice shall be submitted in writing electronically and must be received no later than 2pm EST, Tuesday 10 November 2015.  No telephone inquiries shall be accepted or returned.

The purpose of this RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, HubZone, 8(a), small disadvantaged business, or small business).

Responses to this RFI will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses should include: company name, service capability statement, examples of similar facilities to which same or similar services were provided; DUNS number, including address, point of contact, and the size of the business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is the business large or small? (2) If small, does the firm qualify as a small, emerging business or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group, and if the firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is the firm a certified HubZone firm? (5) Is the firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is the firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small or Veteran-Owned Small Business?
