The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to prequalify manufacturers of conical plug valves, spherical valves, butterfly valves, and gate valves. Respondents who are deemed qualified will be invited to bid on future valve procurement contract(s). The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) plans to procure the following over the next 15 years: • 10 conical plug valves or spherical valves of 48 inches to 60 inches, and 47 similar type valves of 20 inches to 42 inches, and • 25 butterfly valves or knife gate valves or double disc gate valves of 54 inches to 120 inches, and 53 similar type valves of 20 inches to 48 inches.
