The purpose of the Writer/Editor position is to fulfill two primary functions within the Program Office; (1) he/she will ensure English-language documents prepared for use within the Mission, USAID, the U.S. Government, and externally are prepared in proper American English; follow U.S. Government standards for the use of clear and easily understood language; follow Associated Press and OMB General Style Guidelines; are well organized, concise, and easily accessible to reviewers from a wide variety of disciplines; and, provide the requested information in the specified format. And, (2) he/she will assist in the preparation of major USAID reporting and planning documents, and outreach and communications documents and materials.
