Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to provide restoration services of VACCO HDC Valves on a U.S. Navy Vessel. These restoration services shall include cleaning, inspecting, repairing, reassembling, testing, and certifying the port and starboard HDC pressurization and vent valve assemblies.

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source is capable of fulfilling this requirement. VACCO Industries, (CAGE Code 99517) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and thus owns the proprietary data – including drawings, equipment, and approved processes – required to perform this work.

Justification and Approval for Sole Source will be made available within 14 days of award.
