Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest Division (Battelle), operates the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) through a Prime Contract with the U.S. Department of Energy in Richland, Washington and is the entity looking at acquiring these services.
This RFI synopsis is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by Battelle or PNNL. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this RFI. At this time, no solicitation exists. General Description of Services
PNNL currently has a need for a Contractor to develop a historical site assessment report and scoping and final survey plans in accordance with the Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM) for five of its facilities. These facilities include the Physical Sciences Laboratory (PSL), Engineering Development Laboratory (EDL), and Life Sciences Laboratory 2 (LSL2) at the Richland, WA campus and the Marine Sciences Laboratory 1 and 5 (MSL 1 and MSL 5) at the Sequim, WA campus.
At this time, PNNL is considering whether to obtain a Contractor in order to complete the following phases of the MARSSIM process:
• Task 1 - Conduct Historical Site Assessments
• Task 2 - Develop Scoping/Final Status Survey Plans
• Task 3 - Perform Scoping/Final Status Surveys and Develop Survey Reports
