The County of Riverside Purchasing Department on behalf of the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) is seeking proposals from qualified parties qualified in providing Post Adoption Services for the County of Riverside’s DPSS Children’s Services Division (CSD). BACKGROUND The Post-Adoption Services Program aids adoptive families to meet the challenges that may arise after adoption. Children adopted from foster care also are at a higher risk of experiencing mental, behavioral, and/or developmental issues due to the neglect and/or abuse they may have suffered while in the custody of their parents/legal guardians. Many of the aforementioned issues can resurface at different points in a child’s life, especially due to traumatic events such as divorce of parents, deaths of family members, and military deployments. PURPOSE DPSS-CSD aims to provide adopted youth and/or families of Riverside County effective post adoption services to prevent disruption.
