The City of Bellevue Transportation Department (City) solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in environmental, civil and structural engineering design. Consultants will be considered for the 120th Ave NE / NE 16th St to Northup Way – Roadway Improvements project. The major features of the project are as follows: Realign and widen an existing two-lane arterial roadway to create a new five-lane roadway with bicycle lanes and sidewalks on both sides of 120th Avenue NE. Remove and replace the existing culvert crossing of West Tributary underneath 120th Avenue NE. Other improvements and work associated with the roadway widening include, but are not limited to, site preparation, erosion and sediment control, storm drainage system, flow control and water quality facilities, environmentally sensitive area impact mitigation, franchise utilities relocation, irrigation, landscaping, channelization, retaining walls, illumination, traffic signal systems, intelligent transportation systems, signing, traffic control, and other mitigation as required. The initial Professional Services Agreement covers development up to 60% design and preparation of environmental documentation, including support for Endangered Species Act (ESA) and NEPA/SEPA approval, for approximately two years in duration with the option for the City to extend it for additional time and money if necessary.
