The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) of the City of Dahlonega is soliciting Statements of qualifications and proposals from architectural firms with a strong record in historical preservation architecture and adaptive reuse of historic structures for modern uses. Responding Firms should be technically qualified and licensed in the State of Georgia to provide these services. Experience in working with projects utilizing a variety of funding sources including but not limited to federal funding sources (CDBG, etc.) and/or historic tax credits is desired. Additionally, restaurant design experience is a plus. Plans are to contract for architectural and professional Design Services required for a FY2020–FY2021 historic renovation project, located in downtown Dahlonega, Georgia. Firms with relevant experience and qualifications are encouraged to submit a Statement of Qualifications. The purpose of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process is to identify the most qualified historic preservation architect. Funding for the project will come from a variety of sources with the cost of the project and terms of the contract negotiated with the selected Firm.
