The USDA, Farm Service Agency, Kansas City Commodity Office (KCCO) procures domestic origin food commodities for use in various foreign food assistance programs administered by the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Kansas City Commodity Office â International Procurement Division intends to issue solicitations for procurement under sealed bid contracts.

SOURCES ARE SOUGHT FOR THE FOLLOWING:
MILLED RICE (BAGGED) (MR): The Government will accept offers for long, medium, or short grain milled rice grading U.S. No. 5 or better, except the rice shall be well milled and not contain more than 20 percent broken kernels. The rice shall meet the specifications of the class and grade offered as defined in the Official United States Standards for Rice, in effect at the time the contract is awarded. Unless otherwise specified in the applicable solicitation, milled rice of the special grades âparboiled lightâ or âparboiledâ which meet class and grade specifications will be acceptable. No specialty rice, including but not limited to aromatic rice, will be acceptable unless specified in the solicitation. Commodity shall be packaged in 50-kilogram woven polypropylene fabric and circular-woven style bags.
MILLED RICE (BULK) (KCPG): The definitions, grades, grading factors, for rice shall meet the specifications of the class and grade offered as defined in the Official United States Standards for Rice, in effect at the time the contract is awarded. The milled rice will be bought f.o.b. vessel, unstowed, and untrimmed, at the UGRSA approved facility specified in the contract. Technical contact is Janet Cleveland at 816-926-2540
