OSPI intends to award a sole source contract to the Washington Association of School Administrators to facilitate RULER training. RULER, which is proprietary to Yale University’s Center for Emotional Intelligence, is a systemic approach to Social Emotional Learning (SEL), aims to infuse the principles of emotional intelligence into the immune system of schools (preK-12), informing how leaders lead, teachers teach, students learn, and families support students.
