The Sierra Pacific Network Consolidated Contracting Activity (CCA) is issuing a Commercial Item Request for Quotation (RFQ) to provide biohazardous waste removal services. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, containers' appropriately sanitized, disinfected and labeled (except for Government-furnished "Sharps" needle containers), supplies, materials, transportation and supervision required to provide pick-up, transport, incineration and/or acceptable disposition of biomedical infectious waste, pharmaceutical and veterinary waste,chemotherapy waste,biological/pathological waste,contaminated waste and Government "Sharps" containers. Services shall be provided to the following Department of Veterans Affairs facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 21: VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS), VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS), VAMC San Francisco CA, and VA Regional & Medical Office Complex (VAMROC), Honolulu HI.This procurement is being conducted in accordance to Subpart 13.5 test program and parts 12 and 15 of the FAR. The government intends to award a one or more firm-fixed price contracts as a result of this solicitation. Contract period is April 1, 2002 (or one year from date of award if subsequent thereto) through March 31, 2003, with four one-year renewal options. Contract award is subject to availability of funds.
