Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) requires the services of a Hazardous Materials Management Subcontractor to perform on-site waste collection and sampling; intra-site transportation, storage, and packaging; and arrange for transportation and disposal of hazardous waste. In addition, the successful bidder shall be required to perform emergency and routine spill cleanup on an as-needed basis. PPPL is committed to conducting work efficiently and in a manner that ensures protection of workers, the public and the environment. As a contractor to the United States Department of Energy (DOE), PPPL adheres to the principles and objectives of DOE's Integrated Safety Management System, which is designed to achieve an acceptable level of safety throughout Departmental operations. Any and all Subcontractors to PPPL are expected to familiarize themselves with, and adhere to, the spirit and intent of the Integrated Safety Management System. Subcontractors shall systematically integrate safety into management and work practices at all levels so that projects are accomplished while protecting the environment. The solicitation will require pricing for two (2) years from date of commencement which is currently expected to be April 1, 2002. The order will be a non-exclusive, Firm Fixed Unit Pricing agreement. This announcement is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ).
