This amendment issued to extend the proposal date, post the Site Visit Sign-In Sheets, and to answer the questions that were received after the site visit that occurred on January 20, 2011.


Question 1 - On page 72 the last paragraph indicates ..."thirty (10) " is this number thirty (30) days or ten (10) days?

Answer: Ten Days.


Question 2 - Part 3, page 74 3.2 Facilities Not applicable. Will a building or area be made available to store spare pumps and supplies?

Answer: No.


Question 3 - 3.4 Equipment Not applicable also 4.3 (page 75) and 5.16 page 77 : It had been mentioned that a boat, with the necessary equipment may be provided. Is this a fact, or will the contractor furnish?

Answer: Working on it. Submit a proposal without Boat as Government Furnished Equipment.

Question 4 - 5.5, 5.9, 5.17, 5.18 In the past the wastewater collections system has been serviced by another contract. Has this been added? If so, to what degree?

Answer: Yes, The Installation Service and Support contractor (Pyramid) provides the maintenance of the sewer lines since that is real property and they are provided government furnished equipment to do the underground repairs. (Plumbing Shop).


Question 5 - Under Section 5, daily reporting , inspections, and maintenance had been done four days per week (Monday through Thursday). Section 2.16 states Monday through Friday. Has this changed?

Answer: Four days. Monday through Thursday.


Question 6 - 5.15 and 5.20 Imhoff tank and sludge drying beds have been removed (along with the sludge pump). Should this be removed from the solicitation?

Answer: Yes, please remove it from your bid. There are no Sludge Drying Beds or IMOFF.
