The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a fixed-price sole-source follow-on contract to Salimetrics, LLC for the procurement of saliva samples tested for both salivary cortisol and alpha-amylase for the CDC's study of HPA and ANS role in stress and its relation to human health and development. At his point in the study it is imperative that the Government maintain continuity of analytical procedures already used with saliva from a subset of participants in this Multisite CFS clinical study. This contract will be for saliva samples collected over a 12 month period.
The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 41 USC 3304 (a) (1) in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement
Salimetrics, LLC. Is a small business with the capacity required and with the procedures and the subset of participants to complete this project. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 325414 Biological Product Testing Laboratories with a Small Business Administrative size standard of 1,250 employees.

No solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps. Salimetrics, LLC. Is the only source capable of meeting the Government's requirement for the specific analytical procedures and subset of participants necessary for the continuity of this research project.This is not a Request for Quotation and the CDC does not anticipate an award to other than Salimetrics. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely with the descretionof the Contracting Officer
