Sandy Lake Dam Rehabilitation Project
This project consists of the rehabilitation of the dam structure at Sandy Lake Dam. Rehabilitation tasks include repair of deteriorated concrete, removal and replacement of stoplogs in the lock bay, installation of new slide gates and a stoplog dewatering system in six sluice bays, installation of a dual-leaf slide gate in the log sluice bay, removal of the upstream timber apron, installation of a new upstream concrete apron, installation of a new sheet pile cutoff, and installation of three-phase electrical power to the dam, including new gate controls. A new power panel and operator controls will be located in an existing pumphouse building - a portion of which w ill need to be enclosed with this project to provide a suitable sheltered environment.
