Monthly requirement consists of inspections of the tributaries and streams within the US
Forest Service Santee Experimental Forest, with a focus on maintaining uninterrupted and
reliable stream flow in Watersheds 77, 79, 80 and in Turkey Creek (Watershed 78). This involves
thorough investigation of these streams, over a distance of at least 300 meters upstream and
downstream of specified control points, plus adjacent riparian areas.
The control points include the Watershed 77, 79 and 80 stream gauging stations, the Turkey
Creek station (Watershed 78) (located where Turkey Creek flows under SC Hwy 41 N; see
attached map), and the point at which Turkey Creek flows under the Irishtown
Rd bridge (Watershed 78).
