The Forest Service Santee Experimental Station seeks contractor support to ensure continuous water flow within the assigned watersheds in Cordesville, SC.
Requirement consists of inspections of the tributaries and streams within the US Forest Service Santee Experimental Forest, with a focus on maintaining uninterrupted and reliable stream flow in Watersheds 77, 79, 80 and in Turkey Creek (Watershed 78). This involves thorough investigation of these streams, over a distance of at least 300 meters upstream and downstream of specified control points, plus adjacent riparian areas.
The control points include the Watershed 77, 79 and 80 stream gauging stations, the Turkey Creek station (Watershed 78) (located where Turkey Creek flows under SC Hwy 41 N; see attached map), and the point at which Turkey Creek flows under the Irishtown Rd bridge (Watershed 78).
