This is a Sole Source announcement.  No hard copy RFQ will be prepared or made available for distribution.  The Government intends to award on a firm fixed price contract to Trivec Avant.   After reviewing all manufacturers, only Trivec Avant manufactures a SATCOM antenna capable of meeting all requirements.  The ability to handle the wind loading while remaining both foldable for storage and single man portable are prime concerns not addressed by other  vendors.  This is IAW Simplified Acquisition FAR Part 13.  The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.  Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  However, all proposals received within three days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.  A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.  Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  Questions may be directed via email to [email protected].  The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334220 with a size standard of 750 employees.  Central Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with Department of Defense.  Information may be found at http://www.ccr.gov.
