The Bureau of Reclamation awarded Contract 08CS200167 to Resource Strategies Inc. for one (1) year with four (4) option years on July 30, 2008. However, while the government advertized the base contract, the government inadvertently failed to synopsize the four (4) option years. This synopsis will serve to satisfy that requirement.
The Bureau of Reclamation issued a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed-price contract for the purpose of acquiring digital terrain corrected satellite imagery of the irrigated areas of the Newlands Project at acceptable pixel resolution of 3 meters or smaller. Imagery is required four times per year for five (5) years in order to adequately assess irrigation status. The irrigated area encompasses approximately 60,000 acres of irrigation and approximately 100,000 acres total. The general area of interest is from the western edge of Fernley, Nevada to the eastern edge of the Stillwater National Wildlife Refuge and from the southern edge of Carson Lake and Pasture to approximately 4 miles north of Tarzyn Road where it crosses the Carson River and represents approximately 270,000 acres. The contractor will provide all necessary services to acquire the digital imagery per Reclamation specifications.
This procurement was set-aside for Small Business concerns only. Solicitation 08SP200151 was posted on http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 05/28/2008. The date for receipt of proposals was approximately 06/09/2008. Questions concerning this synopsis should be directed to DeAnna Mannel by email at
