1. This Request for Information / Sources Sought notice seeks unit price and availability for supply of four (4) Each Minebea-INTEC CAPXSIU-1OOEE and CAPXSIU-100DD Combics stainless steel explosion-proof scale platform sets; FM approved: Class I,II,III Div. 1 Groups A,B,C,D,E,F,G; Capacity: 60 KG X 2 grams; Platform Size: 12" X 12" respectively with explosion-proof indicator (CAIXS2-U); Hazardous area power supply 100-240 VAC; US Version (YPS02-XUR). The scale set's design shall meet the requirements for use in explosive areas (certificates: IECEx I ATEX Zone 1 / 2 / 21 / 22 and FM Class I, II, III Div. 1; Groups A,B,C,D,E.F,G); minimum 2 gram+/- digital high resolution.

2. Information is requested on a full & open / unrestricted basis.

3. The unit must be brand new. No substitutions or used parts are allowed. If a formal solicitation is posted, the contractor would be required to include with shipment a certificate of conformance that documents 100% traceability to Minebea-INTEC.

4. Assumptions for interested vendors:
--Standard commercial packaging will apply to the shipment.
--FOB Destination delivery to McAlester, Oklahoma Zip Code 74501-9002.
--The requirements located in DFARS 252.211-7003, Item Identification and Valuation, will apply.
--Government inspection and acceptance of the unit at McAlester, OK.

5. The applicable NAICS code is 333997 Scale and Balance Manufacturing. The applicable FSC code is 6670 Scales and Balances.

5. Interested vendors must provide the following information NLT 1:00 PM Central Time Tuesday 22 May 2018. Please format your submittal responses to specifically cover EACH ONE of the following items:
A. Your unit and extended price for four (4) Each.
B. FOB Destination delivery to McAlester, OK in terms of days after contract
C. A declaration of your firm's intention to quote upon an actual solicitation, if one is issued
D. Your firm's DUNS Number, Cage Code, Tax ID, and Point of Contact information
E. Your firm's number of employees (for small business size verification)
F. Your facility's facility location (for U.S.-based status verification)
G. Vendor responses shall be in writing and electronically submitted by e-mail with PDF attachments, if any.

6. NOTE: This RFI/Sources Sought notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research or otherwise pay for information solicited. The Government will utilize the information provided for informational and/or planning purposes and also to identify potential sources as part of its market research. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this notice. Responses to the notice will not be returned. If a solicitation is issued, it will be published electronically as a solicitation to the FBO website and it will be the responsibility of interested vendors to check the FBO.gov website regularly. Paper copies of any solicitation will not be available.
