Background
The US Senate, Office of Senate Sergeant at Arms, requests proposals from qualified sources to provide professional services and support to remove, refurbish, deliver and re-install theater style seats in the US Senate Chamber Gallery (Project) within the timeframe designated by the SAA. The Project shall require extensive planning and preparation for the installation of the seats with a minimum disruption of service. Timing for the installations of the studio sets will be dependent on the Senate session schedules.
Scope of Work
The Contractor shall provide a proposal to include a total fixed price to complete the work set forth in Section C of the Solicitation.
1.The Contractor shall submit a Certificate of Insurance for a policy naming the U.S. Senate, SAA as additionally insured for $500,000.
2.Transportation of the seats to and from the Contractor's studio.
Proposed Schedule and Deliverables
1. The SAA will conduct a mandatory site survey Wednesday, August 21, 2019 for all interested bidders. Please indicate interest in attending the site visit via email to: [email protected].
2. Technical and Administrative questions shall be submitted via email to [email protected] no later than Wednesday, August 28, 2019.
3. A proposal that addresses all tasks in the Scope of Work is due by Friday, September 13, 2019. Submit the proposal as a Word or PDF attachment in an email to [email protected] following information must be included:
a. A list of the project tasks with a schedule to complete the work no later than December 31, 2020 and a proposed payment schedule including description of any delivery or installation milestones.
b. A firm-fixed price proposal including any proposed payment schedule to complete the project.
c. A resume for all individuals proposed for the project.
d. Three examples of similar projects completed within the last five (5) years, including reference point of contact information.
e. Provide detailed information about the Contractor's facility and capacity to undertake the full range of refurbishment services, to include all systems such as fire suppression, environmental controls, security, storage, and use of hazardous materials, and similar environmental factors. Provide proof of liability insurance and amount of coverage.
f. An estimated timeframe to complete the Scope of Work in the Solicitation.
4. Please provide availability to commence the work in September 2019 or October 2019.
