The anticipated period of performance will be for a twelve (12) month base period, plus four (4) additional 12-month option periods.

Biocare is uniquely qualified to service this instrument as they are the original manufacture (OME) of the equipment and parts are only available to Biocare engineers. Additionally, the software that controls the instrument is proprietary to Biocare Medical, LLC. No other vendor can repair or update this software. The service maintenance agreement covers repairs and preventive maintenance of system and computer hardware, as well as Biocare software and instrument upgrades. The required Service Plan also includes labor, application support, parts, and travel. Additionally, this agreement provides for two (2) preventative maintenance inspections scheduled every six (6) months of this agreement.
NIEHS will solicit and negotiate directly with Biocare Medical, LLC and no solicitation will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to [email protected] within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this notice. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received within fifteen (15) days, an award will be made to Biocare Medical, LLC.
