The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Office of the Center Director has issued this sources sought announcement on behalf of the Office of Center Director in order to determine if there are existing businesses sources capable of providing Preventative Maintenance Contract for a Thermo Fisher Quanta 200 FEG Microscope SN#D7739/F0413551. 

Companies who have the capabilities and experience necessary should submit a Capabilities Statement demonstrating the company's expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified in this notice. Responses shall include the following information: a. DUNS number b. Company Name c. Company Address d. Type of Company (i.e., large business, etc.) e. Company Point of  Contact, Phone and Email Address Teaming Arrangements:  All teaming arrangements should also include the above-cited information and certifications for each entity on the proposed team. Background:  The USDA/OCD has a need for a Preventative Maintenance Contract for a Thermo Fisher Thermo Fisher Quanta 200 FEG Microscope SN#D7739/F0413551. 

The FEI Quanta 200F scanning electron microscope is used to observe the surfaces of objects. Our laboratory serves scientists at Eastern Regional Research Center. We observe bacteria, proteins, agricultural products, catalysts, leather and other samples.

Minimum Performance Requirements:

• The Contractor shall provide one (1) scheduled preventative (PM) visit per year (includes all required labor, travel, and parts coverage)
• The Contractor shall provide 4 hour targeted telephone support.
• The Contractor shall provide OEM dedicated replacement parts.
• The Contractor shall provide 48-hour targeted onsite labor response
• The Contractor shall provide unlimited labor hours (including travel time and expenses).
• The Contractor shall provide all necessary spare parts (including all accessories listed on the contract)
• The Contractor shall provide replacement FEG tip (for applicable products)

Period of Performance:

Base Year:  03/23/2020 – 03/22/2021

Option Year 1:  03/23/2021 – 03/22/2022

Option Year 2:  03/23/2022 – 03/22/2023
