STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) General Information 1. BACKGROUND: Food Service Specialist Senior Leaders Course (SLC) and Food Service Specialist Advanced Leaders Course (ALC) are branch specific course's that provides the 92G NCO's selected for attendance with opportunity to acquire the leader, technical, and tactical skills, knowledge, and experience needed to lead a platoon/company size unit or serve at staff level. Course also provides selected NCO's with comprehensive knowledge and skills required to perform duties as a Dining Facility Manager, Field Feeding Operations Senior Food Operations Sergeant or Food Operations Management NCO. This NCOES Course is supported by 80th Training Command, 94th Training Division, The Army School System (TASS) Training Center at Camp Parks, CA. 2. GENERAL SCOPE: The SerSafe portion of the course is designed to facilitate learning for Person-In-Charge in the food service system. Students will be required to read the entire ServSafe course book prior to the third day of class. The instructors will conduct a brief overview of each section during class. A review will be conducted prior to the examination. In order to pass ServeSafe module, students must receive a 70% on the ServSafe Examination. Students Failing the initial test will undergo remedial/ refresher training and then retest. 3. PRODUCTS: The Government requires the following products to meet Course Standards. Products must be Brand Name or Equal to the given Manufacturer part numbers provided: a. ServSafe Manager Course Book 6th Edition:, National Restaurant Association Solutions, Manufacturer ISBN: 10-0133075680 / 13-978-0133075687 i. Quantity: 50 each b. ServeSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Online exam: National Restaurant Association Solutions Manufacturer PN: 0-13-502669-5 i. Quantity: 500 each c. The U.S. Army will not pay federal, state, or local taxes. Products quoted that are similar to the specifications above will be reviewed and considered by the customer for acceptability. If a vendor provides a quote for a product with a different PN as stated above, that vendor must provide the Manufacturer and PN of that product. Further information regarding new or different products can be found at FAR 52.211-6. 4. NON-GSA ITEMS: In accordance with FAR 8.404(f), the vendor may provide quotes for Open Market Items (incidental items, non-contract items, non-Schedule items, and items not on a GSA Schedule contract). These items must CLEARLY be labeled as Non-GSA items. However, the total dollar value of those items must not exceed $15,000 to stay in compliance with the Dissemination of Information in FAR 5.101(a). 5. Vendor is also responsible for providing reference books for the exams and Student test Scores. Vendor will provide Certification certificates for Students that meet the ServeSafe certification Standards. 6. BASIS FOR AWARD: Award will be based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) proposal to the government that meets the criteria in this SOW.
