THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) anticipates issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Shiga Toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) Screening Technology to adequately equip all three FSIS Laboratories with the capability to test approximately 20,000 beef samples for STEC. The resultant contract type will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. It is the responsibility of interested parties to review SAM.gov frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All potential contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time an offer or quotation is submitted, and lack of registration shall make an offer or quotation ineligible for award.
BACKGROUND:
The 3 (three) Field Service Labs (FSLs) at the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), a public health regulatory agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), require an updated contract for screening and confirmation of Shiga Toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC).
