This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 and the small business size standard is "Not to Exceed" $14 Million.

Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure repairs to a currently owned Simplex Fire System manufactured by Simplex Grinnell. In order to not void the warranty on the Simplex system, only companies authorized to repair the system are being considered. At this time, that company is the manufacturer itself which is Simplex Grinnell. Additionally, this upgrade is more cost effective than purchasing an entirely new system.
