The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the following: services to perform equipment upgrades to the Simultan Presses.

The proposed contract action is to procure services for the upgrade of BEP's Simultan Offset Presses located at BEP's facilities in Washington, DC and Fort Worth, TX. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the following designated source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Accordingly, the BEP intends to award a sole source contract to KBA NotaSys SA, CH 1000 Lausanne 22, Switzerland. 

This notice of intent is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, if any, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 12:00pm EST on Friday, 14 April 2017. All responses must be submitted in writing and via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information, or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
