B. Salient Characteristics

1 The Contractor shall provide one (1) photon detector that meets the following minimum specifications:

1.1 Detects individual photons with high efficiency (quantum efficiency > 70%) and low dark counts in < 25 dark counts per second (dcps)

1.2 Achieve this level of performance (ref C.1.1) at optical wavelengths between 600 to 800 nanometers (nm)

1.3 Possess large dynamic range. Maximum detectable photons > 10 million counts per second (Mcps) and fast timing resolution in Detector dead time < 500 picoseconds (ps)
1.4 Configured in an optical fiber-coupled package

C. Responses:

(I) To what extent each of the specifications can be met.

(II) Include your type of business (i.e. commercial, academia), whether your organization is classified as a large or small business based on the 500 employee standard that accompanies NAICS code 334516. If a small business, you must also list any small disadvantaged status you hold [HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), etc.].
