The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a Sole Source award under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Bard Access Systems, Inc. 605 N 5600 W Salt Lake City, UT 84116-3738 for one (1) SiteRite 8 Ultrasound System W/Integrated SHERLOCK 3CG or equal. The composition of this replacement system includes but is not limited to; SiteRite 8 Ultrasound System console, 3 year warranty, required competency training, medical equipment roll stand, printer, software & license, PinPoint Probe, and mounting brackets. The above device is required for the medical treatment mission of USMCFP Springfield and critical to the operation of the Dialysis Department.
The procurement will be a firm-fixed priced purchase order anticipated to be made no later than July 31, 2018. This acquisition is FOB destination with seamless transition from and trade in credit for the SiteRite 6 Ultrasound System currently in use at USMCFP Springfield. Any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements shall provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by the response deadline detailed in the FBO Posting. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Bard Access Systems, Inc.
