Directional Boring, Conduit and Fiber Installation, and Fiber Termination
The SRCF Fiber trunk cable infrastructure from building 950 to building 054 requires approximately 1,800 feet of directional boring, pulling new conduits, installing pull boxes, and pulling fiber cables through newly laid conduit, existing conduits and cable trays following the green path indicated in Figure 1. The path will start at B054 and route to pull box HHPE3 then to pull box HH33H1. Directional boring will create a pathway from pull box HH33H1 to HH37F1. The path then continues from pull boxes outside B921 to HH38F1, outside B950. This will drop into the FEE then follow along the NEH Subbasement. Existing cable trays and conduit will provide a path into the NEH Basement Room 208. All areas are located onsite at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in Menlo Park, California.
