The Department of Workforce Development is seeking one or multiple contractors to provide customized skill training to an individual who is a member of a targeted population listed below. The awarded vendor shall provide this customized skills training to individuals in one or more of the following populations: Ex-offenders Incarcerated individuals People with disabilities Veterans Young Adults (ages 18-24) Long-term public assistance recipients The customized skills training must be designed to enable participants to obtain specific job skills so that they may qualify for or be placed in employment in the high-demand industries of advanced manufacturing and information technology. All training should culminate in industry-recognized credentials for these industries. Ideal applications will have a direct connection or relationship to one or more employers that will increase the likelihood that the trained individuals will secure employment in the high demand industries of advanced manufacturing and/or information technology immediately following training. Success will be measured by WIOA Performance Metrics. The Department anticipates approximately $1.5 million in funds available for grants. This is a cost reimbursement grant.
