NAICS Code: 488490 - Snow Removal

The Government intends to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement for the purpose of snow removal. The Contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, supervision, and management efforts necessary to perform the removal of snow and ice accumulations on a non-recurring, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, "On-Call" basis at JB MDL Lakehurst. During the period of approximately 15 Oct 2010 through 30 Apr 2011 contractor shall begin snow/ice removal within 2 hours after an activation call from the Snow and Ice Control Person(S&ICP). The Contractor shall remove all snow and ice accumulations from all designated streets, parking lots, driveway areas, sidewalks, and entranceways, as directed by the S&ICP and as shown on the map, located in the Operations Support Office in Bldg 5, Lakehurst. The Contractor shall be prepared to respond to calls and take direction from the S&ICP when the weather forecast is predicted over two inches or more or when ice conditions warrant. The Contractor shall not be released from his removal tasks without concurrence between the S&ICP and the contract Quality Assurance Evaluator. This solicitation is a request for proposal and is issued as 100% Small Business competitive under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 488490 and the related Small Business Size Standard is $5.0 million. The following commercial services are requested in this synopsis; Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) for snow removal. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-43. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the government. Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the CCR may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the CCR at the time of award. Quotes will be due on Friday October 15, 2010 1200pm Eastern Standard Time.
